remote start installation instructions

I bought a ford factory remote start system for my 2001 f150 and it didn't come with instructions. I have looked all over the internet for some and haven't found them. The remote system is made by safe alert for ford. I have a schematic for truck. I am just at a loss as to what wires are what on the remote system. If anyone can post a link or tell me where to look I would truly appreciate it. Thanks

www.gemsen\ford has instruction for the Ford remote starter. Not sure about yours though, I thought Code Systems built the Ford ones. There are many posts on this boards with diffrent wiring diagrams. I have been struggling with getting mine installed for a couple days now. The Gemsen site had the instructions for mine then I did a few searches on this board for help as I needed it.

KCAutosound helped me alot with the setup, I think he is over on the www.ford-trucks.com\forums now.

I got paper directions with the one I ordered for my 2001 ( went with the documentation with the truck ).

If you do a search on the term Remote Start the results are 20 pages of threads on the topic. I know I got a lot of info in addition to my paper directions when I did my '01 from the forums here.

I know Travis @ KC Sound has an option for pre-wiring the Ford ( Code Alarm ) remote starter kits.

One of 2 suggestions :

1. Work through it with the links here, and asking Travis real nice for ponters ( read not hand holding all the wya through the process ).

2. Ask Travis how much if you ship it to him, to have him pre-wire it, and supply his directions ?? This might save some head aches later ?? Just a suggestion to ask, I don't know if he would do this or not..that is a question for him to answer.
