windshield wipers studder

my windshield wipers work but sometimes they stop in the middle of the windshield when their on and act like their studdering. it seems like the motor is dying but i put a new motor in and it does the same thing.

Have you put new wipers on? Cleaned the windshield really well with some good glass cleaner?

What do you mean by studder. Are they skipping across the windshield or do they act like they are bogged down and struggle to pull across the windshield?

they actually work fine and than they will stop in the middle of the windshield like they're broke. and then they work again. usually only studders for about 3 seconds at the longest.

If you replaced your wiper motor, then that's not the problem. Have you checked the shaft mounting into your wiper arm? Maybe something there is screwed. If that all seems fine, then I would start looking between the motor and the switch for a wire getting pinched by the wiper mechanism, or something to do with the switch itself.
