Question PROBLEM FIXED...Desperate for Help! Multi-Function Switch BIG PROBLEM!

So, I've had some trouble with my turn signals not working unless my tilt wheel is at exactly the right angle, and I've had some problems with my brake lights as well...this afternoon, I decided I would look at the problem, and do a quick fix...long story short, I took off the steering column cowling, unscrewed the MFS, popped-off the bottom wiring harness, and then I noticed that all seven wires from the 'upper' harness had come free of the harness. For the last six hours or so, I've been experimenting with putting the seven wires on random (and not so random) posts on the upper part of the MFS. I've got the Chilton online subscription for my manual, and the wiring diagram they have does not, as far as I can tell, specify which color wire goes where...I have isolated the brake light line, and I know what each wire does (I think)...but I have no earthly clue on which post the wires go. I've built a new 'harness' using some wire, shrink tubing, and some mini male and female connectors, so I'm good to go as soon as someone can help me figure out what goes where. I'm pretty much S.O.L. if I can't get this fixed tomorrow (Sunday - and the earlier, the better...), so if anyone can lend me a hand with this problem, I will be in your debt. Thanks in advance for your help.

Same Issues.

I have nearly the same problem. I had lost my brake lights and found out that it is common for these wires to come out of the connector. I should have the new upper tomorrow but I still need to know which color goes where. Does anyone have a picture or diagram, or even a link? thank you

Did this one get answered somewhere? I REALLY need to know what the correct color/placement of the MFS (namely the harness with the turn signal side(the big one)..

It's a very common problem: the harness wasn't built QUITE long enough to allow the column to tilt fully down, so it pulls the terminals out of the top MFS connector. The fix is to grab the bundle of wires & PUUUUUULLLLL a little more slack into them, then insert them into a new connector shell (available from Ford or NAPA or...).
