blower motor replacement

I am working on a 2002 F150 for a friend. A week ago, the fan motor quit working. I checked the fuse under the hood, and it was blown, so I replaced it. It blew as well. This obviously leads me to believe that the fan is burnt out. I checked prices and can get one for around $40. The problem is, where is the fan located? Is it under the hood or inside under the dash? How hard is it to change out. I have done the same repair to an 88 Chevy truck and it was fairly simple and straight forward. Hopefully this will be the case with the Ford.
