grounding temp gauge

Here's one for the electrical gurus. I just installed a B&M trans temp gauge sender in the hard line just before it enters the radiator. Because it is isolated from ground by the rubber hose sections of the cooler lines between the radiator and transmission and the rubber radiator mounts, I need to ground the base of the sending unit. By doing this, the radiator will become grounded to the body. Is the radiator intentionally isolated from ground, or rubber mounted just for vibration? Will this create any electrolysis or galvanic issues?
Thanks,
Tom
