Cruise Control Fires?

Hello just wondering if anyone knows if the sensor for the cruise control that has been causing all the problems with fire is the same in all the years?

I heard they recalled and repalced the sensors in all the 2000's and from what i can find on the net in the F150's it is the same sensor from 1995-2002 but they have only recalled the 2000's?

Can anyone confirm if it is the same sensor? Does it matter if the truck is made in Canada or the US?

Thanks

Speed Control Deactivation Switch

Safety Recall 05S28: Certain 2000 Model Year F-150, Expedition, Navigator, and 2001 F-150 SuperCrew Vehicles

I got the recall and had the switch replaced today in my 2000 F150. I have also read that the defective switch was used in many more cars and trucks, such as my 95 Mark VIII Lincoln. However, in the Mark, the switch was moved to a location that won't cause the car to burn to the ground. (I hope)
