Unhappy No Cruise Control or AC

I own a 2003 F150 supercab stepside Fx4. I purchased it new and now have about 42,000 miles on it. I have installed and uninstalled many different kinds of electrical components such as stereo amps, cb radios and high power linear amps. When the problem started nothing was hooked up in the truck. I had been about 60 miles, I was just riding along with the cruise set on 59 miles per hour and it quit. I tried resetting it and the cruise light just flashed, but no cruise, shortly after, maybe 1 mile or so I noticed it became humid inside the truck and the windows started to fog up. I checked the fuses and they all seem to be fine. When I first bought the truck I removed the plastic battery cover. Well last week I reinstalled this cover. Could there be something behind this cover on the firewall that has come loose....???? Please someone help me......

After looking at my info, I can't see anything common to both systems except throught the ignition switch control.
I would go at it as two seperate faults until you find that they are some how related.
The Cruise control should be able to be tested by holding the off switch down and turning the ignition to run only then press each switch seperatly within 5 sec. and watch the Cruise lite for any trouble codes.
You should be able to hear the servo operate also, then turn the ignition off to reset the system.
For A/C does the fan operate and the compressor clutch pull in with the engine running, as a starting point.?
