I want to first thank you all for this site it has helped me do so much & saved me a lot of money.

My neighbor is installing a remote start on my 00 150 scab 5.4 just turned 100k miles not any trouble.

Here is my problem when when the truck starts the starter will not disengage all the time sometimes it will but most of the time it will not.He has the tach wire hooked up on the pass side of the engine & it has learned the tach ( it has gone thru all the steps to learn 7 appears to have it) We noticed that in the man for the alarm it is lokking for the negative from the tach but all we can find is the poss. The door locks work right and it will shut truck down with no problem. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

I just went out to check it again & noticed that if I remote start truck that I can not unlock the door with the remote? also noticed when the starter hangs the tach is not showing anything either as soon as the tach shows rpms then starter disengages.
