My airbag indicator light is flashing 19, I have a 99 F150 XL, what does that mean? Can anyone help me?? I called the dealer and they will never tell me!!

First are you sure it is a code 19?
I want to mention for everyone, that the air bag system is a serious system in any vehichle.
It's operation has many ramifications.
Among those, are liability, if a dealer tells you anything causeing you to attempt a repair and the system fails to operate in event of accident.
Another is blowing the bag, getting hurt, the cost of the replacement bag, insurance ramification etc.

The bottom line for many of these things is the liablity issues for any thing that happens.
Hope this gives enough insight to see a wider concept of all the issues involved in 'do it yoursel' work.

 

Yeah it is 19 my brother is a mechanic. its 19 but he just does not know what it means!!

 

Ok, the reason I ask is, code 19 isn't on my list for 97 up.

 

Hey Mike, I have a '99 F-150 XLT and my airbag warning light has just started flashing. I'm not sure where you are getting the code "19" from. I have had my passenger side airbag disarmed for about a year now. All of a sudden, my control panel starts flashing an icon with a person in a seat with an air bag in front of them. Not sure what to make of it???
