I have an 05 supercrew xlt without the keypad handle. It does have power locks, can I plug and play a used keypad handle and use the code that came with the owner's manual?

If not, does anyone know why It can't be done?

or is my only option to go with the 3m sticky pad?

There's more to it then the door key pad from what I've read on the forms here.So save some time and go with the stick on.Mine came with the factory key pad and I used it the other day after locking my keys in the garage,I was able to get to my spare key in the truck to go some were with the grandson.That's why I got the Lariat was for the key pad, plus the seats.Do a search and read on here to read about key pads,then pick out which way you want to go with it.
