data connection
I have a 99 F150 supercab XLT. I bought it used so I'm not sure of some of the modifications. I have a connection below the steering wheel that looks like computer port labeled " data link connector". What is this?

That's the diagnostic port; plug the code reader in it or, when you install a Superchip, the plug goes there as well.
More than likely, there is also a wire bundle close to that port with 4 or 5 wires; that is your brake controller connection for when you pull a trailer.
