DRLs & Importing to Canada

Hello,

In a couple of weeks I am moving to Canada to start a new job. I plan on importing my 2003 Supercrew which was purchased in the US. From the information I have found, it seems I will have to have DRLs installed to get the vehicle registered in Canada. I was hoping to install the DRLs myself following the article in the DIY section before the move. Does anyone know if this will pass inspection in Canada? Has anyone imported their F-150 to Canada, what did you have to do? Also I have the Xenarcs installed, will this cause a problem in registering the vehicle in Canada. Also if I install the DRLs will this cause any problems with the Xenarcs. Thanks for the help.

I don't think any of this would cause a problem. I imported a car a couple of years ago and was told that an after market DRL is more that adequate. I believe there is even a shop that specializes in doing this that is very close to the border. As for the Xenarcs, what they don't know won't hurt them. As for harming them, I'm not sure but I wouldn't think so, other than a shorter lifespan. Hope this helps.[QUOTE]
