Ahh crap....I didn't catch that at all (not even in your first post) I appologize profusely as I have absolutely no clue about the 2004+ model wiring.

HOWEVER, I still think that you should be able to get an extra key and the code to the door for FREE! (Or at least pay for the spare key out of pocket and have them program it & get the code to the door for FREE!) Hell, you bought the car used from them and it's the least they could do. They don't charge folks who buy NEW cars for this stuff.

Tony

P.S. Pass my appologies to the wife TOO. Tell her it was my fault and that I was just trying to save you guys some cash because I know how dealerships can be such crooks for simple stuff.

Tony, don't worry!

First of all, this is not the only issue that drives my wife crazy--she thinks I'm the groundskeeper from Caddy Shack with my muskrat and gopher obession (always runnin' for the rifle)...so the SCM fascination was nothing.

Anyway, I just got back from the dealership and I had them program a 2nd and 3rd key for me, as well as pulling the factory-set 5-digit keypad code. The dealership I bought the truck from (used) is an hour drive from here, and the one that programmed my keyts is 10 minutes from here. I am sending a copy of today's invoice to the original dealership for reimbursement.

Thanks for all the help!

mp518...what was your wife doing on her back looking up at the firewall on the passenger side of your Expedition....?

Anyway, it's not there either...probably should have been on the driver's side since that's where the aftermarket remote starter/security module is currently located...problem is, nobody transferred the 5-digit code onto the new unit. Now it's no problem. We've pulled the code and we're fine now.

Maybe it's your turn to be responsible and scrible the code on a white sticker and stick it up there Glad everything worked out.

I put it on the Owner's Manual so that only "authorized" users know where it's at *LOL*
