Anti theft problems?
Been experiencing some weird stuff. My '01 Screw 150 sometimes doesn't start. Everything seems normal until I start, then it dies, and nothing works. Happened a few times and opening and closing doors, locking/unlocking seemed to wake it up, but now nothing. Now the situation is like this, after a while everything seems normal, instrument panel lights up, chimes on etc, I start and then everything dies again, I suspect the Anti-theft system but I really don't have a clue. Input anyone?
Is my key not recognised anymore or what?
HELP appreciated!

Does'nt sound like anti theft problem, when the antitheft is in the truck will crank over but will not fire at all. Sounds as though you are loosing power dirty battery terminals, loose wiring conector, or something in that general direction. Maybee if you better describe what works and what doesn't someone can give you some more specific answers.
Thanks for the reply.
I don't know how to describe this any better.
Be it morning, noon or night, hot or cold engine, I open w remote, get in, key in the ign, everything seems fine, switch on, dome lights and gauges working fine, start and then everything is dead. Engine does not crank, and there is no power what so ever, door lock, windows, dome lights, nothing requiring power works. So I guess that your suggestion might be it. Had thought about it, but leaned towards the anti theft system, being unfamiliar with it.
So thanks for you input, wiss check the batt and terminals.

Don't just look at the outside of those terminals. Remove the grond first then the posative, clean the inside of the terminal and the battery post until shiny and reinstall innreverse order. Also while the terminals are off the positive terminal goes to the starter solenoid on the firewall check that conection also.
i see that a lot at the factory. Comes in with a fault so i disconnect and reconnect each connection in the faults system and, voilla cant dup[licate problem. dirty terminals are usually the culprit, or as I affectionately refer to it as an "ifm" (its f*&%@ing magic)
