Just bought 1st truck, used 99f150XL. No manual yet (dealer ordering it). Theft light flashes. Is there a security system in it? Also, would like to add additional map light up front. Any experts out there?
Also, driver door loose...can hear air. They tried to fix. Any suggestions? I am taking it back next weekend.

The theft light flashing means your security system is working. It is not an alarm. Your key has a chip in it, when you put it in your ignition the truck recognizes the key and allows you to start the it.

If you went to your local hardware store and had a key cut, that key would allow you to open your doors, but you would not be able to start the truck. Hopefully you received two keys with your truck because having a spare key programed with only one original key is expensive.

With my 99 truck, if I did not shut the door firmly, basically slam it, then I would get a wind noise while driving. I would just pull over and slam the door. That would take care of the noise.
