99 - 01 Electrical Fire
The local news in my area reported that there is a consumer alert for 99-01 F-150s. Apparently after the truck has been sitting for a while (length time unknown) something in the electrcal system will catch fire. Ford is investigating it. Does anyone know any more details about this? What part of the electrcal system? Is there a temp fix?

I have posted relevent details in at least two different sections of this board.
Call your local station and complain that it has taken them two months to jump on this bandwagon. The NHTSA issued their notice of inquiry that long ago.
There is no recall at this point as the investigation is continuing. It is not known if any recall is forthcoming nor when the investigation will conclude.
