Aux. backup lights

I want to install auxiliary Backup lights on my 2004 F150 Supercab. I want to wire them into the existing backup light cirquit to come on and go off as the standard lights do. What would be the best way to tap into that cirquit? They will be attached to the receiver. If the best way is to tap into the wiring harness what color wires are for the backup lights?
Thanks,
Steve

I did this a few years ago.
I put small 55w fogs on the receiver. I mounted them with there mounting brackets using a hose clamp. Connected the ground to a bolt and wired the + to my trailer plug. I have the tow package so I wired it to the back of the 7 pin plug, The back-up pin is the center one. It will handle the load because it is fed from a separate relay. They come on whenever I put it in reverse

I actually modified my rear bumper to house some PIAA 1500 Reverse lights in my rear bumper then had the bumper painted to match the vehicle, which was getting an entire repaint anyways. Here it is at the SEMA Show last year:

Heard too many stories of hitch-mounted lights coming off off-roading, etc. and the PIAA kit comes with all the wiring so it can either come on when I tell it, or in reverse, or both, or neither. Pretty fancy setup.

very nice looking truck. I don't really go "off roading" and have not had a problem with mine. I did mine my way because the light were on sale for $20 (1/2 price) and I got some hose clamps, zip ties and wire connectors for under $5. It took about 30 minutes to install. Driving in deep snow and tall weeds haven't caused a problem since the are tucked up fairly well. I'll take some pic later today.
