This is a common problem for any vehicle with the switch in the latch. Have you tried spritzing it with some WD-40 or PB blaster, and cycling the latch a few times, to get the crud out?? This solves it most of the time...

Let us know....

dragonslayer,

Soak it with WD-40, read that as soak it, I mean really wet it down, don't just give it a shot, make it wet, a 4 or 5 second spray through the opening in the end of the door, on all the latch components.

Have done this on numerous trucks and it will correct the problem for six months to a year.
