'99 F150 bites

Gentlemen,

For years now whenever i go out of my truck I would get an electrical shock (a bearable one obviously) once i touch the door panel to close it. I haven't had any electrical problems aside from the normal change of bulbs and battery. It seems that there's a build up of static electicity while one is riding or driving. This also happens to the passenger when he touches the outside door panel in getting out.

Any same experience? Tnx.

Wipe your seats and door panels down with a dryer sheet. Or you can also buy aerosol static guard spray at the grocery store in the laundry isle. Static sucks. It can also be dangerous with gas fumes.

rocky,

thanks for the advice, but why does this only happen to my truck and not on my other cars? All of which have the same seat cover material.....

get a rubber ground strip and connect it to your bumper or under carrage, let the rubber drag on the ground...My 04 dose this as well, ground strip solved it.

TIRES, TIRES, TIRES...

+

DRY WEATHER

I've noticed a huge change in the arc's that I drew when I got new tires(it almost disappeared).

But, yes, a dragging strap or chain that lonnie's talking about does work, then you have to put up with all those goodwill drivers trying to tell your truck is falling apart. Ha ha!

BBZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTT!!

-hope I didn't make you jump too far!!
