Question factory trailer wire plugin

I grounded out trailer plug and blew a fuse or a relay. I don't have a owners manual and a chiltons manual is useless. HELP. The truck is a 1997 F150 Lariat. HELP if you can. No power to the plug

check under the hood, right along the drivers side fender, there is a fuse box there that i think has a fuse in slot #3 that is a 20 amp fuse, it is likely the one that is burned out. If you have a hard time finding the fuse box, look for a black box that is about 4x6 inches and you should be able to open it by releasing the catch on it, which is on the lower back corner closest to the fender. hope this cures you, i know i've blown this fuse numerous times. Oh yeah, and make sure you have the atm size fuses, not the other blade type.

On a 97, the lower left 20A fuse (F1) in the CJB is for the trailer running lamps.

I just had to replace mine!! Under hood on Drivers side along fender. It will have a piece of tape over it if no one has ever taken it off.
