Factory tow wiring

I have a 7 plug wire on the truck, I have gotten all the wire to work, except the tail light wire?? It is on all the time? When you hook up the trailer the parking lights are on all the time??

Is this something that Ford did for safety? Or is there something wrong some where?
Its wired just like this I think?? I hope or maybe Ford wired it wrong??

You can almost be sure the tail lamp pin on your plugup is not wired to the tail lamp supply circuit.
Something has to be changed to correct it.
Not being familuar with your year, look into wiring to the tail lamp circuit at the rear or thru a relay from the fuse panel like the later truck use.
If wiring from a rear location, the fuse size might have to be increased to handle the extra lamps as long as the wire size will also handle the extra current.

Thanks, The fuse has nothing to do with the problem i am having. It just seems that the wires are hookes up wrong??
It was done at the dealer or factory who ever did it.
All the lights work but the pins are wrong to the trailer?? I have triple checked the trailer and they work fine and are of correct wire to pin. I checked this with my old truck and all is fine.

So the plug that ford installed on the truck seems to be backwards? I guess i will look one more time then rip them out by there roots and re wire them my self!!

I sure do wish the guy I bought it from used it so he would have found the problem and had it fixed for me!!

Angry Still Not working!!

Ok heres the deal,
I have LEFT and RIGHT signal and 12V power Thats it??

I unpluged the wire from above the spare tire and there is no power going to the Brakes, Back up light, Or Tail lights ??

I chaeck every fuse in the 3 fuse boxes and there are no blown fuses??

I have no idea which relay or relays are for the tow stuff as the owners manual only covers the 2 main fuse boxes and not the relay box??

Can any one help me with this??

Thanks again!!
