Question Sudden Death

I went out to start my 98 F150 this morning. The engine turned over just like always, then when it would normally start... NOTHING! Even the dome light is dead. It has a 60 month battery that's only two years old. I've never seen a bettery die like that anyway, in my experience it's a gradual thing. Can anyone tell me if there's a central fuse or breaker? It seems really odd to go from enough power to crank the engine to zilch like that. Any help is appreciated. I had to drive my wife's Chrysler to work.

If the battery tests out OK, then I'd check the "Fusible Link" to see if that still has continuity, then check the big distribution block mounted on the firewall, passenger side just above the AC gear.

Thanks Tony. It turned out to be the negative battery cable. I'd have expected the symptom to increase gradually, like the corrosion. Live and learn eh?
