the simplest way to disable the key chime is to remove the key cylinder, slide a piece of tape between the key in sense switch contacts, and to reinstall the key cylinder. if you ever need to restore the operation, just remove the piece of tape.

Thanks to those of you that where kind in the response, yes I do have the parking sensor on the vehicle, is that linked to the same buzzer?
Sorry to have offend you mtylerb, I am new to the site and am not quite clear on how to post or find info efficiently yet. Apparently you have nothing better to do then monitor the question section. Always has to be someone)

...<snip>....
Parking aid speaker is different than the warning chime speaker.

Do you want this is be off all the time, or per usage.

1. The door switch with a switch, but the the dome light won't come on ( few have been doing this on the 99-03 MY trucks

2. A single use off for the chime, but this requires a bit more wiring, and a relay, but would have the per time usage that resets when the truck is shut off.

3. Disable at the ign ( never work again )

No need to apologize

I took my gauge cluster apart and unsoldered the piezo buzzer, and removed it.

Glossed over all the entries here. I think I'm in the right place for this question/problem. My door chime won't stop. Keys out, lights off still dinging away. I don't mind the chime as I have been known to leave my lights on from time to time. But now I just can't tell. It just won' stop. Only the driver door. Passenger door no ding. Which I believe is normal. I sprayed the jams with WD and still dings. From reading all this is it in my ignition? looking for any help. At this point might just disengage it all together.
