How I did my "Wally special" extra powerport mod

I always need more power ports and I had one of these triple port things from Wal Mart, and I didn't really want them to be out in the open so I put it in the console.

First I just set it in there to see how I wanted it to be in there. It had been stretched for a while so the wire wasn't coiled anymore, and we cut off the cigarette power plug end and soldered on some extra home stereo wire we had layin around to get the rest of the length.
Once I decided I got a drill bit just big enough to feed the wire through, and two for the screws to hold it on with two small philips screws.

Once I had that done I put the screws in took off the top of the flow through part of the console and fed the wire into that area.I fed it close to the console to the passengers side.

There are some square pillar like things in there that I ran the wires around.

as you can see, this is also where I stored the extra wire. Once it got the the front of the dash, I ran the wire down and out of the dash.

out where the red circle is, and ran the wire under the carpet.

I had already taken the kick plates on the passenger side off. for the most part they just pop out, but there is a clip that I took out here.
remove this plate first

then this clip and the rest SHOULD just pop off but I could be remembering wrong

Tape the wire to a straightened out hanger and then run the wire up the fire wall, this is where small arms to help the wire would come in handy. It took me and my dad a few tries to get this right. It also helps if you remove the battery while you do this.

And this is the hole in the firewall(red circle) and split the wire and grounded it(blue circle).

Then you can put the battery back in. We used an in-line fuse, but I'm sure you super electrically talented guys could do it a different way if you wanted to do this.

and used a crimp connector and soldered it with a hole big enough to bolt on to the positive battery connector and bolt it on.

and last but not least, I made some plugs out of foam so that even if the switch got turned on somehow it couldn't get shorted out.

Don't know how many of y'all will be interested in this, but I have had a few questions about it so I thought I'd show y'all how I did it!
