Second battery for accessories!
Well, to anyone interested, I worked up a setup for installing a second, small battery to run accessories. I used parts attainable from any Autozone, and it took $55 and about 4 hours start to finish. If anyone would like a step by step procedure, I'll be taking pictures of my finished setup and typing up the steps in the next couple days (working a lot lately).
The parts are:
1 285 CCA lawn & garden battery
1 lawn mower or similiar starter solenoid
1+ accessory fuse panels (for your accessories)
1+ relays (for relaying your accessories)
2-3 8' spools of 10 gauge wire
1 pack of 12-10 gauge male and female connectors
1 10 gauge 30+ amp fuse holder
1 pack of 12-10 gauge ring connectors
I used a couple zinc brackets I found here at the house to make some brackets to hold them in place with, as you will have to remove the battery box. I'll try and see where you can get them, but they will be in the pictures I'll be snapping so you should be able to see what I'm talking about.
