Question Where is security Module on 2001 Screw?

Trying to sort out keyfob thing....aftermarket alarm on an XLT and am looking to find the Remote Antitheft Module or Central Security Module.

If someone can help me with a location and perhaps a partnumber I would appreciate it!

Anyone else have an XLT without the remote entry option (keyfob activated locks) ??? Seems like something that the XLT would come with....

How would I tell if I do or don't.....? Saw a post about 7 wires on the back of the lock button with NO RAM/CSM, but nothing about how many wires if I DO have this??

I can't get my program mode to work.... so would like to know if I have the module and perhaps that the aftermarket alarms system is perhaps hosing it.....

Thanks in advance!
Steve

I'm a few days late and a dollar short, but if you hang loose until tomorrow when I get back to work, I'll find out for you.

Mine is under the dash..left side near the firewall...hard to see..it has your door pad # on it and your looking up near your brake cable...Its a tight fit for me to see it...I hope that's what you meant...

Here are the pictures that I took for the member from Japan.

That is the parkng brake to the left of my hand.

That is taken looking straight up behind the dash.

Left hand side of the picture you can still kind of see the parking brake cable.
The RAP is the cream ( off white ) box in the center of the picture. The picture is taken at a strange angle to hide the factory code on it, but you can kind of see the part number sticker on it.

Alrighty then...... I guess I do NOT have this option on my XLT!!!! Strange option to delete!

Nuthin' up there but my aftermarket alarm taped to the harness... I guess I'll hafta cough and pony up for a big $$ keyfob from the aftermarket.....

Many thanks to SSCULLY for the pic's and others for their help too!!!
