A buddy of mine called this morning and asked if there was a secret to getting around the anti-theft device. Apparently he thought he could start his truck if he could disable it.
For the last few days, when he left his truck, the blower fans kept blowing in the cab. He would turn the key on and off a couple of times and the interior fan would shutdown. This morning when he went out to the truck, the radio was playing without the keys being in the ignition. He still had plenty of battery left, so he tried to start it. It would turn over fine, but never start. He finally gave up and had it towed to the shop.
He tried his second key, and he repeatedly locked and unlocked the doors with the remote. This vehicle has 4500 miles on it, and no mods, bone stock.
Just wondering if anyone here has experienced this before. I did a search and came up with nothing.
