damned e fan question

why cant you splice all three ground wires together on a FAL dual fan setup to make one ground wire/

I do not have the Flexalite system. I looked at their install instructions and there is only 1 ground. The other wire goes to the Fan negative terminal and the third goes to the A/C negative.

I can't say for sure that you can or can not as I do know have access to the schematics of the controller. If I had to guess I would say that becasue the fans are speed variable you could disrupt the control by grounding the fan terminal if it uses resistors on the ground side. The fans would run at full speed if this was the case. If you ground the A/C terminal you will run the fans continiously. You shoud be able to get away with grounding the bat negative input, but I always ground to the battery negative terminal so I would not be saving any wire.
