Drivers' side window trouble.....
OK guys...I'm new here but it looks like you guys have all the answers I may need
I have been having trouble with my drivers' side door window not rolling down. I have power windows and while the passenger window works fine, all I get outta the drivers' side is a clicking sound in the relay. I have tried replacing the relay with a new one and still nothing
Anybody have any suggestions??? Thanks
Dave

I have just now had this problem. Have replaced the same relay. Noticed that the relay was really hot and clicked when I attempted to activate the drivers switch. Am contemplating removing the door panel tomorrow and checking the motor. Fuses under the hood are fine. Wish someone smarter than me could provide an answer.
Extremely scientfic Ford Approved test for power window motors:
1. Open affected door, enter vehicle.
2. Turn ignition to "start" or "accessory."
3. Slam door briskly while holding offending window switch in up or down position.
If it starts working, you've got a faulty motor. But I didn't tell you this.
<edited cuz I kan't speel>

The window has been making noise while it went up and down for a little while. While I was in there, I lubed everything up and it is now quiet...Any idea how long this "fix" will last before my motor goes faulty again?
