USUALLY ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT A KEY IN THE IGNITION AND CYCLE THE IT FROM THE OFF POSITION TO THE RUN POSITION (WHEN THE RADIO IS ON BUT THE CAR ISN'T STARTED) EIGHT TIME IN TEN SECONDS. YOUR LOCKS SHOULD CYCLE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IT IS READY TO PROGRAM. THEN YOU JUST PRESS ONE OF THE BUTTONS ON THE REMOTE AND IT SHOULD WORK. IF YOU HAVE A SECOND REMOTE, THEN JUST PRESS A BUTTON ON IT RIGHT AFTER YOU DO THE FIRST ONE.

Turn ign on, push and hold button under dash until horn churps three times. push and hold button on remote until horn churps once. should be it if it is a factory set up. Keep in mind thatyou can only program a max of 5 remotes. Then you have some special procedure to erase the old ones.

The procedure outlined by GPFAPAGE is correct for the OEM remote keyless entry system. Try that one first.

The method Pestco1 is describing is for an aftermarket system - likely installed by a Ford dealer.

Could be my memory fading, but I thought once you entered programming mode, that you needed to have all of the remotes that you want programed, as it starts over from zero.
I'll look for Jeff Law's post on it, if I find it I'll post back, but be aware that this might happen. ??

Press any button on tramsmitter, locks should cycle. Press any button on second, third, fourth.... trans., locks should cycle. Turn key to off position. All transmitters you just programmed should work, all previous transmitters not done that time will no longer work.
