Unhappy Broken Headlight plug

I upgraded my headlight bulbs, to PIAA and love um, as I heard they last longer than Silverstars.. Did by a set of Silverstars for the other truck so will be able to test that thought., Any way...

When I went to install the passenger side bulb, the little prongs that secure the bulb just crumbled. This is a 2003 Screw which I've only had 2 months. I going to try to get dealer to fix but don't know if I'll be successful. Anyone else dealt with this issue on a new truck?

Cheers
Marc

just make sure those PIAA lights arent in there when you bring it to the dealership. if they are in there, they most likely won't fix it. and another tip i can give you is to make sure that the PIAA lights you are putting in there do not draw more current than the standard headlight bulbs, or else your harnesses will fry and eventually may become a huge headache and certainly isn't worth it. silverstars however do not exceed the stock wattage and are a perfect replacement. good luck!

What he said, and yes mine did the same thing just a couple weeks old on my '03... I added a heavy duty harness though to run the high wattage bulbs, and so I'm not using the broken clip side...

Got pix in my gallery if you're interested...
