Need help with Overdrive LED

Hey there,
I am trying to install a skull shifter and im trying to move the LED from the Over Drive switch to the eye of the skull. but now i've broken the little yellow LED. Does anyone know what kind of power is runing to the LED, or what size of LED i need to replace it???

It has a small blue resistor with color code...Grey red gold gold

If Anyone can help, that would be awsome!

My guess is that the LED is supplied with 12 volts and the resister required depends upon the electrical characteristics of the replacement LED you buy.

I have not verified the web page shown below but it appears to show how to calculate the ohms for the current limiting resister...

The resistor is an 8.2 ohm plus or minus 5 %

Gman, your right on the read of those colors.
But a resistor of 820 ohms is needed for a 12-15VDC power supply. The LED is connected between the battery and the PCM (Powertrain Contol Module). I don't know what is inside of PCM but would guess it is a transistor to turn LED on & off. PCM might have current limiting resistor inside (so why put res with LED).
Best thing to do is go with 820 ohms resistor. If LED doesn't light up reverse the leads.
