interior lights

Alright now the interior lights do not come on when I open the door. They come on after I start the Expy and stay on even after I take the key out and turn off the truck. I had to remove the battery save relay from the fuse box inside the the truck to turn off the lights, when the lights come on I can not turn them off with the push buttons switches.

Do any of the doors activate the interior lights?

The switches are in the fwd. door jamb, where the flat, semi-circular piece of plastic goes through the jamb.

Angry radio and windshield wipers not working

The problem has come back to haunt me again!!! I sprayed the door adjar switch with w/ WD-40. I removed the GEM and cleaned the moisture out with contact cleaner I had picked up at the auto store, replaced fuses and the problem is still there. Everytime I put the car in drive the radio and windshield wipers stop working and the interior lights still remain on while the engine is still running. Can someone please give some clues as to what might be wrong please. I'm starting to think it is the combination switch assembly on the steering colomn.

Try to position the new combination switch on the steering column. dimmer switch might be a problem. It works the wipers and on some models the cruise.

1. Power Windows
Have you checked the switch to see if power is there ?
If no power what is the results of testing both sides of the fuse with a meter ?

2. Interior lamps
Do these not work with the door, or the door and the panel switch ?

3. Wipers.
Have you pulled and tested the MFS ?

first off thnaks scully i want to let you know i appreciate any feedback thank you.

1. the fuse keeps blowing everrytime i put one in right away it will blow it .
but if i put a greater amp fuse it will work the windows and everything works...but even i know thats putting a greater amp fuse where its not suppose to have on is not a good idea. but i also have not checked for power yet!
2.the lamps are suppose to work when the door is open they come on and when u close the door they go off...right now no interior lamps at all..
3. what the hell is MFS?

1. With the high AMP fuse, did you go 5 or 10 higher ?
- Is this a case of 1 specific window causes the issue, or any window ?
If you install the correct fuse, it blows without using a power window ( that is what I got from the post, just want to confirm )?

2. The interior lamps do not work with the door switch, do they work with the switch on the dash ?

3. Sorry, MFS = MultiFunction Switch aka turn signal lever.

The power windows ( OTD for driver's side ) the interior lamps and the wipers are all related to the GEM on the 97-03 MY trucks. Want to make sure there is nothing else ( this is all chance ), prior to pulling and checking the GEM.

1. correct as soo as u put it in it blows it.

2. Nothing at all ( no lamps what soever)
3. turn signal works but the wipers do not!!!

so far latestes update..

1. i check the door ajar switch and disconnected it and put a fuse to see if it would blow to find my short but that was not the problem it still blew
so what i did do is put a 30 amp mini fuse and everything works !!!! but i know its not a good idea but temporary fix i guess until i get some more money to actually take it to the dealer!!! $$$$$$$$
