How do I prevent horn chirp when locking vehicle

I just installed a remote start system in my 02 F150 truck that works with my factory remotes. To start the truck I have to press the lock button 3 times. The 2nd and 3rd time the horn chirps.

Does anyone know how to disable the horn? As you know the parklamps flash when you press the lock button and that's all I want to happen.

Thanks!!

I would use the remote that came with the remote start system and program it to lock\unlock your doors. This way you only have to press the "start" button. No horn chirp. (I’m saying this hoping you have a remote with the system).
If you have no remote and it's a name brand starter, a stereo shop that installs these should be able to get you a remote and program it for you.
Example: My wife has a '02 Explorer with a Crime Stopper starter. One remote controls everything. The stock remote sits in the junk drawer. We have had no problems and no chirp of the horn when starting. The start button and L\UL button are separate.
(Owners manual have any way of deactivating of the horn?)

Hope that this helps

BTW... NICE TRUCK

Thanks, Edgex. Unfortunately, the remote that came with the system only has a start and stop button so I need to go with the factory remote. I'll check some local shops and see if they have any ideas. I was hoping there was a way to shut it off similarly to how you can program your keys and lock/unlock features. I couldn't find anything in the manual.
