Lightbulb Replacement Light Bulbs

I have a 2003 F150 Heritage Edition SuperCab and wanted to stock up on extra light bulbs. Anyone know where I can find the 3457K and the 9145 listed in the owner's manual? The 3457 is for the rear stop/turn/tail light and the 9145 is for the fog lights. I've gone to all the usual places and no one can seem to match the numbers Ford put in the manual with their stock. I feel dumb!

Looks like you haven't been shopping in the right places.

Talking Light Bulbs

Well you know how it is when you live in a small mid-west town of less than 10,000 people and new technology comes along. Thanks for the thread to Sylvania. Very enlightning!

Actually, I do know what it is like to live in a small Midwest town of less that 10,000 people. That's why live in South Florida.

When I bought my '98 (used) none of the interior lights or the cargo light worked. Turns out the previous owner had a stuck switch in the door latch and removed the bulbs. I didn't have an owner's manual at the time either, so after fixing the switch I hiked to PepBoys and bought lamps that "looked right". I think they were 914 or 916. They seem to work for me.

Lightbulb Replacement Light Bulbs

I wish we had a Pep Boys here. Just a lot of non-major auto parts places. We do have a NAPA - I was surprised when they didn't know what I was looking for. Now they do!!! I just like to have one or two spare bulbs for all my vehicles and camper so I don't have to hike to the auto parts store when one burns out.

I've been looking into the extra bright headlight bulbs too. Any wisdom on them? Also, do you have any experience with the LED replacement bulbs? I've seen some Cadillac's with them and they look nice.
Thanks for your time.

At the top of the page I linked to there is a list of the part numbers for the standard headlight, parking light, and turn signals. Below the main listing for each is a list of "upgrade" part numbers. The "upgrade" parts may be what you are looking for. Many people on the boards have been very happy with the SilverStars product line. Try a SEARCH on "Silver Stars" and you'll see what I mean.

I'll definately vouch for loving the silverstars! They are a very high quality product and I can't remember seeing anyone that really didn't like them. The light is true and very bright and, in most cases, the SS bulb pulls less wattage than a comprable standard halogen bulb!
