Angry Fuel pump

My fuel pump quit working. (1988 f-150....2 fuel tanks)

The pump itself seems to be OK...at least it runs when conected to a battery charger, but there seems to be no juice running to it from the connecting wires.

I THINK I bypassed the fuel pump safety cut-off switch. At least I disconnected a little black box with a red reset button that was on the firewall near the brake and spliced the two wires together.

What else could it be?

Would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

Which pump went out, pump in tank or the pressure pump on frame.( I am pretty sure you have both) If the pump is bad it could not run on the voltage sent through the regular wiring harness but the extra voltage and amps. sent through the charger could be enough to get it going. My 2cents worth
