Removing Power Mirror
ok, there are two panels that snap out above the bottom of the window on both ends of the doors, just pull em out, then go to the door handle and theres a small plastic plug about 3/4" in diameter that you pull out, just toss it in the compartment below. look inside and theres bolt that holds the door handle in place, just take it out and pull the entire handle out of the door.
Once finished you should be able to lift the entire door panel off, but itll still be connected at the power window and door lock part. Its just tab lock and its a bitch to get out, helps to have two people but i can do it alone, just feel for the push tab and kinda wiggle it out. This applies to both. Now that you have the door panel off go tho where the speaker is. Pull it out it should be four small bolts, in not sure if its aboslutly necessary but surely it helps, on and theres an easy disconnect line going to it. then further towards the front of the vehicle (left for passenger, right for driver side, im not sure which your doin, right side facing truck or in truck? oh yeah on the driver theres the power window control too, should come out the same) behind the padding theres a white connector, this connects the wire out of the mirror so disconnect it, the one attached to the door stays, the other one should be fed into the door.
Now on to the mirror, there should be a pad, just take it off and there should be three bolts behind it to remove, then the mirror should come out and just feed the wire through. Reverse intructions to put it all back together. I hope i didnt miss anything but that should be the basics. Post if i missed something.

I just bought a 1997 F150XLT and the power mirrors were not working correctly.
I had the switch replaced and the right side now works fine, but the left side only moved in and out. Up and down does not work. What should I check on this to see what the problem is? Possibly a wire off?
Could the motor be bad? Not really sure what to look for.
