Disable the horn honk when locking

Hello all.

I just upgraded from a 97 150 to a 03 SCrew. When I use the remote to lock the truck, the horn blasts on the second press (audible notification). I would like to install another (quieter) horn just for this audible confirmation. Has anyone tried this? Is the horn signaled by a seperate wire or is it all done through the computer?

I have not even looked under the hood for this particular mod.

Thanks in advance.

Simple fix - don't press the lock button twice. Seriously, the truck locks on the first press and you get a flash of the headlamps to confirm all doors are closed and locked - why press it the second time?

The horn chirp is controlled by the Central Security module and is not configurable. It uses the standard traffic horn for the chirp function.
