I bought my 2000 used in december 2001. They never gave me the code for the keypad. My warranty has run out and I can't afford the locksmith as much as Ford could for me. I locked myself out 4 times in 2.5 years. So i need this code! I read in the owners manual it's stamped or written on the computer. Anyone help find this code? A dealer told me (not the one i bought it at) they could "dig" out the code from the computer for $30. I'd rather not. Any able to help me find it or get it easier?

Can't believe the dealer in Corbin was going to charge me $30 to look under the dash.

If you have your manual handy there is a page in there that shows you how to program an alternate code. The original will always work no matter if you program another code in or not.
