Question '99 headlight switch??

Does any one know why a headlight switch for a '99 F150 cost over 50% more than the same switch for a 2000 model. Will the 2000 model switch work in a '99 model. I am trying to add stock foglights to my truck. I am planning on installing a headlight switch that will operate the fog lights so it will be like stock.

The difference in price can be justified by the foglight option....

In short, I'd be willing to bet that the prices quoted were for both the non-fog switch (cheaper) and the head switch with fog control.

My suggestion, as I'm 99% sure that the switches are IDENTICAL is to hit your local junkyard and buy one there with fog controls.

Thanks for the reply, but I was looking at the parts on "fordpartsonline.com". I am sure I was comparing the same type of switch. It showed a different part number for the '99. The technical guy at this website did not know what the difference was so I just ordered the one for a '99. I probably just paid to much for the switch, but it was cheaper than the dealer and the local junk yard didn't have any.
