Question Door Ajar, Warning light

Just curious if anyone has had a problem with their, "Door Ajar", warning light staying on? Mine doesn't do this all the time, but enough to be annoying Called the dealer on this & he suggested spraying WD 40 on the latch!? (thanks, Bubba!)
To those that would ask......... yes the doors are closed when this happens!
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Oddly enough, Bubba has a very valid point.

The sensor switch that is mounted in the door is a very common problem. You'll see this in several older (97ish) trucks and I've seen it mentioned on here numerous times.

I've heard that WD40 is, indeed, a quick and easy fix.

Find the sensor and drown it's sorrows...

Thanks, RP,
I was being sarcastic, but I guess I should try it before pre-judging "Bubba"!

The attached thread attests to the power of WD-40. Be glad Bubba suggested it first, some people have been hit for big bucks at the stealership.
WD-40

Excellent advice...

Here is another, if you ever have a hard time at removing road tar or grime, some WD-40 on a rag will take it right off with easy...

Bubba did you a favour... but under the circumstance most would be suspicious.

Dont apologize for distrusting a dealer service manager.

I agree with J... no need to appologize. I will question anyone that doesn't seem to make total sense.

Hope that fix works for you toolfool...
