36 volt

I've heard that the auto industry will be going to a 36 volt system due to increasing electronics. Does anyone know what Ford plans are in this regard ?

apparently it's to make it easier to run more accessories.

From what I have read, it will be 3 12 volts wired together so 12 volt acc will still be operable.

Last I heard about the upgrading to the higher voltage was to incorporate an electronic "solenoid controlled vavle train"
No Camshaft, no lifters, rockers, etc. Same as they done years ago in the aspect of fuel injectors. Will be interesting to see what the future holds. But it will be fun for those who like to tweak the performance of their own ride, because by computer controlled timing, it can easily be manipulated to do anything you want it to!!

But anyhow, I have no clue as to when and/or IF this will happen
