I have a 99 F150 4x4 and when I accelerate from a stop light the radio shuts off (sound & display), then I hear a click in the dash and it comes right back on. Near as I have been able to tell nothing else is affected. Any ideas?

 

check the voltage coming off your batt and rev the engine when you check it sounds like your voltage regulater is bad if you get more then 14.8-15v max that would do it i have seen this many times.
