Signal mirrors on an XLT

Hey Ford Fans I have a quick question about my 2000. Its an XLT and I was wondering if I replaced the mirrors with signal mirrors is the wiring already in the door for turn signals or do I have to run additional wiring for each side?? Thanks a bunch...

Good question . . . been toying with the idea myself . . . !

Hope the wiring is there. It was for the keypad. Didn't think to check when I had the door panel off . . . now I don't remember . . .

Keypad?

So you put a keypad in your F150? Where did you purchase one and how much trouble was it? Thanks

More about mirrors

Oh I also wanted to ask if anyone knows a good place online to get signal mirrors? Performance Products has OEM heated/electric/signal mirrors for $270.

It is indeed prewired.

You can either add the OEM signal mirrors with the light in the cap or the ones with the mirror glass that has the LED arrow.

The LED arrow ones will run about $250 and require some work to install.

The ones with the light in the cap reqire replacement of the entire mirror assemply and the new mirror cap must be painted. Total cost with paint can run into the $400 range.

I, of course, wanting to stay stock looking for my model year, went with the latter option.....

Nice truck

Hey Phil you have any other photos? Is your moonroof factory? Looks like some nice changes in the 02's.

Don't get to use it much in the summer cause its so damn hot, but its cool to have.

Nice truck

Thats really cool. I have a 97 EXP with the hard to find moonroof and I wish I had one in my truck. Guess I could always go aftermarket for $1000. I have some other upgrades first though. Thanks for the photos...
