Question 98 supercab overhead console

I want to add an overhead console with the compass and outside temperature readout. The console comes with the wiring built in.

Does anyone know if there is existing default wiring run behind the headliner to connect to the new overhead console wiring?

Or will I have to buy and install some kind of wiring harness to connect the overhead console? Thanks.

You will find that you have to purchase a new headliner, sun visors and A & C pillar moldings along with the temperature sensor. Not a cheap mod, but if you find all the parts from a scrapped truck iy can be affordable. I helped Neal do one. Check out: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=114366

If you want help with the wiring let me know.

Hey Rwalker... listen to JMC... he knows what he's talking about! LOL!

He and another member here walked me through something that, to them was simplistic but, to me was hell. They're excellent.

Thanks again JMC!

I wished the overhead console had a Date/Time readout. I rarely have my radio such that I can see the time on it, and most of the time I don't care what the outside temperature is, and that button is easy to hit to switch the modes anyhow.
