Question Wiper wierdness

I purchased a 1999 F150 supercab a couple of weeks ago. Occasionally the wipers will activate one time without my turning them on or touching the turn signal. You can be driving down the road, and suddenly the wipers will wipe one time and then quit. Sometimes it will happen a couple of times per day, and sometimes it will go days without happening.

Anyone have any ideas as to what might cause this?

Thanks,
Doug

Replace the multi-function switch (aka turn signal switch).
That will cure that problem!!

Good Luck

Angry Wiper problem

That isn't my exact problem but that has happened. I have a recently purchased 2000 Extended cab F-150 XLT. My wipers only work when they want to. I can go to work in the morning and they won't work, but maybe later when I go home they sometimes work, sometimes not. My truck is under warranty but I have to drive to the dealer where I bought it and that's a good 40 miles away and we have a fine storm system set in here in sunny Florida so it's a catch 22 for me.
