AC Cutout Switch

All,

Just got my F150 last week and drove from Ohio to NJ. My first truck in over 30 years, what a change. Got 17.5 MPG with no load, drove 65+ mph.

I'd like to increase the MPG & will procure a K&N. I noticed that the AC compressor stays on in all positions, except the "Panel." Has anyone installed a manual cutout so that this doesn't run all of the time? I know that it is good to exercise the compressor yet I'd like to have control of this.

I don't have a shop manual yet, so if someone could direct me to the closest wire/fuse, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Paul
