Unhappy busted trailer plug receiver

Hey guys,

I noticed that my trailer plug receiver is busted...

Previous owner must have backed over something...

It was all bent under... the plastic is all cracked and busted, and that little spring loaded door is broken off...

It was Ford factory installed...

Any suggestions on repair/replacement.. without having to cut any wires? I would really like to keep everything OEM if possible.

Thanks
Dan

Thanks

That might solve the problem..

I am going to check to make sure the connector that's there still works..

First it's an eyesore...

Second, I know I could get dirt/mud/roadgrime up in it (without the little spring door).

Thanks again
Dan

Hey Dan

You'll get more than dirt etc if the contacts ground out

Just get the replacement part...to rewire it is actually rather simple. Just pay attention to which wire goes where. Just look at old plug..rewire same way to new one..just dont do backwards like i once did. Really..its easy to do..if not paying attention.

Good luck...OT
