Need OEM headlight wiring harness

After about a year, my Eaglite Superwhites are burning up my wiring. As preventive maintenance now, I ordered Silverstars and want to replace the wires. Where do I find them???

If you're just wanting to replace the harness with the stock harness, I'd recommend two places...

1. Local junk yard. Any expedition or f-150 98+ will work

2. www.fordpartsnetwork.com and ask for Torrie.

Interesting. There are some who post here that swear you don't need an aftermarket H-D harness to run higher wattage bulbs. I've always run an H-D and never burned anything up. Just dumb luck? I think not. Just looking at the difference in wire gage on the H-D harness will convice you that it's worth it - if for nothing else but preventative medicine.

If you want the same harness I use - after you replace your factory harnes - check out www.highoutputbulbs.com. It's a little place called Competition Limited and they've always been very nice to me with both products and advice. Good luck!

Oops, sorry about that. I don't have the link handy, but I do have the phone number. (You do remember how to use that thing, right?) Anyway, it's (734) 464-1458 and they're in Pinkney, Michigan or something like that. If that doesn't work, drop me another post. I have the rest of my stuff at work.

I burned up my harness too, with 80/100w bulbs.

You can get a new harness from autozone for about 5 bucks each, thats all you need.

I'm having a little trouble believing that a $5 harness from anyplace will hold up to high output (wattage) bulbs. The HD harness I've got from Competition Ltd. has two relays, much heavier gage wire, etc. It also cost me something like $45 several years ago. How'd it hold up? Let's just say it was in my '97, my '99 and it's now in my '02 and I've run 80/100 watt bulbs in all three - with no problems. An ounce of prevention ...

By the way, thanks AB for remembering that URL - once again. The memory is the second thing to go.

I'm going to have to go with 2stroked on this one. But, it looks like the same one suvlights is has (which is where I've gotten 2 of them) for a bit cheaper...

Closer9,

I think you'll be happy. Tell me how it goes. By the way, Comp Ltd. has a nice selection of bulbs too. I'd recommend their Super White or HID Blue bulbs. The ones I've installed in a couple of friends F-350's have gotten rave reviews.

Actually, I've already got Farenheit Xenon bulbs and the suvlights.com harness on my truck, and very happy with them. I've got some pictures in my gallery. However, I was telling Dad about them, and got him interested. Just thought if there was something better out there I'd let him know before he buys anythihng... Thank you...
