I have a '97 F150 that gives all the typical failures after it rains--wipers and windows that don't work or airbag light staying on and fan blower still blowing even after the key is off/removed...this is a real pain!!

My windshield was just replaced, but I realize there must still be a leak... This is getting annoying, and my windshield guy is going to charge me if he has to do it again. Does anybody know how to defeat this water on the board problem short of sending it out for a mil-spec conformal coating? I'm ready to replace the blasted thing but I don't want to keep going in circles......

Any techs out there with a real-world workaround?

 

Why would he charge you if he did the work he should back it up .

 

Well these guys are only going to go so far-he found no evidence of a leak last time he did it. There comes a time when things begin to appear unreasonable, and I understand his point being a small business owner as well.

Do you have any information to add regarding the GEM problem?
